  • Sentence: The president was known as an excellent demagogue, able to persuade many people to agree with his views even long after the disease had eaten away most of his reason and logic.

5. JUNCT: join

  • Sentence: At this important juncture, after the previous events and before we respond, that we remember our goals and values and act accordingly.

  • Sentence: A liberal mind is broad-minded and open to multiple perspectives before making a final decision.

  • Sentence: The right of habeas corpus, appearing before a judge to hear your charges, is one of the most fundamental rights of western civilization although the United States has recently suspended that right in recent history.

  • Sentence: Although I have a strong affinity to french fries and eat them every single day, I'm trying to develop an affinity for regular exercise.

  • Sentence: I fell through the floor of my room into a primordial jungle filled with dinosaurs and insects the size of my brother's head--and his head is huge!

  • Sentence: Psychologists say that introspection can help people to overcome their problems by focusing on their fears and emotion, understanding them, and changing how they react to them.
